Scale House and Weight Station
The unit utilizes the latest in waste-to-energy
methods while disposing of a variety of waste streams. Users benefit from
the facility's latest technology through recording and tracking accurate scale measurements throughout the entire process. The facility offers two easy low-cost options and users maintain a continued confidence knowing the site is County owned and operated surpassing all regulatory measures.

The County maintains the Chambers County Resource Recovery & Recycling Facility as a Facility that is open for
the use of the general public, subject to availability and upon payment of the user fees that the County has established. The
County agrees to incinerate the Customer’s Waste on a non-exclusive space available basis at the Facility located at 7505
Highway 65 Anahuac, Texas, 77514

The County shall utilize and maintain the Facility truck scales; floor and bench scales with accuracy consistent with state law to weigh
Customer vehicles and containerized waste delivered to the Facility on behalf of the Customer. Each Customer vehicle shall initially be
weighed to determine gross weight together with time and date and the Facility identification number, which will be recorded on
Customer weight ticket. Each Customer vehicle may subsequently be weighed and the tare weight recorded and utilized for billing
purposes. All other Customer weight records generated by the floor scale or bench scale may also be utilized for billing purposes and all
records will be maintained by Facility for one year. Customer weight records maintained by the Facility are available to Customer and
the general public upon request under the Texas Public Information Act.
